At Ritika's Global Grains, we believe that convenience does not have to be unhealthy or lack flavor. We produce two organic products under the Ritika's Global Grains label. Our Jasmine Rice is wonderfully sticky and our Cilantro and Lime Rice has a delicious and soothing flavor that does not overwhelm. Our process involves key steps being done by hand instead of by machines, which keeps our product from becoming mushy. Our ingredients are always fresh, seasonal, and bursting with flavor.
Our organic, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free rice products take just 90 seconds in your microwave oven. Our retort process means that the rice in our pouches is ready for the final cooking step in your microwave. That process also means that our rice will stay good on your pantry shelf for up to two years. Making a meal and need a last minute side for dinner? Here it is, and everyone will love it and never know that it only took 90 seconds.
Our product is ready to heat when you want to serve it:
1. Squeeze the pouch gently to break up any clumps of rice.
2. Tear the pouch top open about 1/2 inch
3. Heat in microwave on High for 90 seconds
4. Remove from microwave and tear open CAUTION: contents will be HOT
5. Fluff with fork and serve
CAUTION: contents will taste GREAT
You can heat up our Cilantro and Lime Rice on the Stovetop:
1. Pour the pouch into a skillet over medium high heat
2. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water to prevent the rice from getting too dry
3. As soon as it reaches the desired temp, serve, fluff, and Enjoy!
If you have some of our rice leftover that you wish to store and eat later, it can be done safely if you follow these steps:
1. Don't leave rice out for more than 1 hour.
2. Place the rice in a shallow food container with a tightly sealed lid and put it in the refrigerator or freezer.
3. It can store safely in the refrigerator for 2 days maximum and in the freezer for 2 months maximum.
